Hospitality Toolbox was started by Deon Venter and Verona Kelly as a division of Business Toolbox Solutions to take advantage of their extensive experience in the hospitality industry as well as the great need in the industry for professional HR advice and resources, focussed in the Hospitality environment.

 

Deon was the CEO of Foundation Hospitality Group, the largest labour broker in the Hospitality Industry, for 8 years, counting such organisations as Hilton, Sheraton, Protea, Emperors Palace, Sun International and Gold Reef City as his clients. He has also owned and managed his own restaurants. Since leaving the Foundation Group he has concentrated on consulting services and counts among his clients the Indaba Hotel Sandton, Zulu Nyala Group and many more.

 

Verona started her Hospitality career at Southern Sun hotels and was later appointed as the Personnel Manager for Karos Hotels. She completed a WITS Hotel School diploma as well as numerous HR and IR course. She subsequently joined Old Mutual where she was a broker consultant for many years before joining HR Toolbox.

 

Both Deon and Verona have since assisted many hotels, guest houses, restaurants and B&Bs with HR issues and they have a 98% success rate at the CCMA for their clients. Hospitality Toolbox has saved hundreds of thousands of Rands to its clients through effective HR and IR implementation, effective recruitment & staff evaluation and strategic HR planning
